Prostate Massage in the Noughties
Prostate massage has survived as an art form, but has been at the mercy of the ebb and flow of our societal whims and trends. Back in ancient times, it used to be common practice to engage in a myriad of sexual practices without shame or defining ones sexuality as we do today – women, men, little boys. That practice, however, was eventually phased out by an overzealous religious fraternity. We now find ourselves in a highly sexually repressed environment which is only gradually loosening up, so to speak.
There is a great deal of evidence supporting our ancients’ varied sexual pleasures – for example Palaeolithic man has drawn objects which appear to be designed for sexual pleasure – 30,000 years ago. More recently (just over 2,000 years ago) Greek artefacts include a vase with a double headed dildo painted on it. Amsterdam has a museum with an old school sex toy range, and China has an old bronze sex toy on display in a museum. There are endless examples of how our ancestors used sex toys – art, literature, and artefacts abound, though it’s probably not something many people are aware of.
The prostate has long been a source of sexual pleasure and pain for men; in the east as pleasure and health, but in the west as a diagnostic tool for prostate problems. Milking the prostate to relieve pressure in the prostate gland is a potentially embarrassing and painful procedure dreaded by men with prostate problems.
The most recent sexual revolution mainly invited women back to the party, and for a while now the focus has been on women’s sexual pleasure, or apparent lack of. Men are back in the game (as if they ever left) and new ideas on male sexual pleasure are being put forward. This is a very exciting time for humankind – attempting to drop the shackles.
One of these ‘new ideas’ is prostate massage; also known as male milking, male g-spot massage, male p-spot massage, or the more recent name of the subsequent huge orgasm, the male super O. You may have heard of it; you may be curious. Either way, the male prostate gland is an untapped sexual utopia ready for exploitation.
